The VICON Method is a stimulation program for children with autism who have marked difficulties in language, communication, socialization, and learning skills.
In the Method we determine a Test Phase to be essential for the following reasons:
- Enjoyment: For us, it's essential that the child enjoys the method because that's when learning becomes meaningful and permanent, directly reflected in the memory that determines that what they learn will not be forgotten.
- Habit: It takes 21 days to incorporate a habit, and our method requires full integration into family dynamics.
- Effectiveness: This is a demanding and intensive program and that is where its effectiveness lies. If we do not include the videos, the tool will not work and will become eternal and demotivating for the child and the family. It is important that there is rhythm and progress so that motivation is present at all times.
- Novelty: We know and are very aware that we are proposing a new stimulation system that is sometimes difficult to understand, and the best way to do so is to try it out under the direct supervision of a therapist who guides the method. We can consider many of the method's effects, but at all times, the true effect will depend on each child and their pace and the family's work in implementing it.
The VICON Method has a direct impact on cognitive foundations like no other method previously investigated. Its intensive stimulation restructures knowledge, understanding of the world and objects, and social relationships. It has an unparalleled impact on families, as the central core of a child's world, and this helps propel their development toward their full potential.
