ABA Methodology

Accompaniment with ABA methodology

When I started working with children with special needs, I quickly understood that love and intuition were essential, but not sufficient. I needed concrete tools, clear structures, and evidence-based strategies. That's where I discovered the power of ABA methodology.

Since then, Applied Behavior Analysis has become a fundamental part of my approach to childcare. ABA isn't just a technique; it's a way of looking at children with curiosity, without judgment, and with the desire to help them progress step by step.

What exactly is the ABA methodology?

ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) is a therapeutic methodology that is based on principles of learning psychology to modify significant behaviors and encourage the development of useful life skills.

In other words, we observe how the child interacts in their environment, identify what may be interfering with their well-being or development, and propose clear strategies to support them. Always with respect, patience, and understanding.

This is what ABA methodology sessions are like

Every process begins with a detailed assessment. I observe the child, talk with the family, and understand their environment. From there, I develop a tailored intervention program with clear goals, practical strategies, and ways to measure progress.

In the sessions, we play, sing, imitate, explore... Always with structure, but without rigidity. Because learning can (and should) also be a joyful moment.

I like to involve families, give them guidance, and listen to their concerns. Because no one knows a child better than those who are with them every day.

Why do I use ABA in my interventions?

Because it's a structured, practical, and effective tool. But also because it allows me respect each child's pace, and celebrate every small step forward as a great achievement.

It focuses on observable and concrete behaviors

We focus on what the child does, not what they "should" do. This allows us to design realistic and tailored supports.

It is based on reinforcing the positive

We reward progress, encourage functional behaviors, and give children tools to better adapt to their environment.

Adapts to each context

The strategies can be applied at home, at school, or in other settings. I work in coordination with families and, if necessary, with other professionals.

It has clear and measurable objectives

It's not about change "for the sake of change," but rather about helping the child achieve greater well-being, autonomy, and skills that make their life easier.

Which children do I use the ABA methodology with?

I work with children who present:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Behavioral or emotional regulation difficulties
  • Communication or social interaction problems

Developmental delays
But also with families who are simply looking for strategies to better support their children on a daily basis.

I don't believe in intervention based on fear or constant correction. I believe in accompaniment through connection, in active listening, in giving time, in celebrating small achievements.

Beyond behavior, well-being

The ABA methodology It's not a mold that's imposed. It's a tool that, when used sensitively, can transform a child's daily life and their environment. It's not about making them do "what's right," but about making them feel capable, understood, and secure.

For me, ABA is structure with soul. A technique that serves the bond. And further proof that, with the right support, all children can thrive.
