We can only discover what we have if we open our hands to see what's inside. It's where everything at hand, everything we need, is found, changing our thoughts, feelings, and sensations that project onto our environment like a reflection in a river. We lose our breath, relentless analysts of our surroundings, of the behavior and reactions of others. Critical of external things with unparalleled harshness, full of complaints and reproaches, believing that responsibility lies outside ourselves, untouchable, comfortable, and oblivious to everything that happens. You are the only person responsible for how you feel because what you think is always more important than what others think. Why do we leave the fateful decision that determines our lives to others?
We are wrong if we believe that to reach the top of the mountain we must surpass others, because the only way to reach it is to surpass ourselves. Life is an Echo... what you send out comes back, what you sow is what you reap, and what you give is what you receive. What you see in others exists within you, so if you don't like what comes back, what you reap, what you receive, start analyzing and changing what you send out, what you sow, and what you give. Because those who want to do something find the means, and those who don't want to do anything find excuses. Life is a constant war between choosing to make others happy without neglecting your own happiness, and this is where we generally find ourselves: careless, irresponsible, inactive, and blocked by wanting to change what doesn't concern us: what is external, the other.
No one can deny that everything is difficult before it's easy, and that many of life's failures are due to people who didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up. Every person has their own story, and everyone knows how much their wounds weigh and hurt, but we can't let them weigh us down so much that they immobilize us and block our progress. So take control of your life, because there's pain that hurts you, but there's also pain that changes you.
So start today, for your brainwashing, direct your thoughts, those that fight and push against each other in your brain—negative, complaining, critical—and organize them, giving them the positive, productive, and proactive meaning you want them to have. Measure the words you think, the speeches you give yourself, and make sure they have a clear message. Don't let your brain generate what doesn't resonate with you, what doesn't bring you closer to where you want to be. Force it to be noble so it never humiliates, to be humble so it doesn't offend, and to be strong so it doesn't destroy. Start from those first glimmers of thoughts, those comments that no one hears but you but that end up leading to what you criticize, what you don't want, and what you don't love. Strive for coherence because it's the only thing that will move you forward and bring you closer to the person you truly want to be and, consequently, surrounded by everything you truly want. Because it's crazy to always act the same way and expect different results. Don't you think?
